New to USQ Checklist

There is a lot to remember as you transition into university study. To help we have developed some simple checklists so you can stay on top of things. By completing the listed items before you start your study, as you get started and while you settle in to your study, you will be giving yourself the best start possible.

If you are a new international student, check out the additional information we have developed to help you transition to living and studying in Australia.

  • 1. Enrol

    Check your recommended enrolment pattern in the USQ Handbook and enrol in your courses as soon as you can.

  • 2. Orientation

    Get a great start to your study by attending Orientation online. Orientation will introduce you to the people, facilities and resources you will need to be successful at uni.

  • 3. Student ID cards

    Your student ID card is your gateway to studying at USQ and is necessary for sitting all end of semester exams.

  • 4. Textbooks and study materials

    Organise your study materials and textbooks. All textbooks and materials can be purchased through the Omnia website or at each Omnia bookshop.

  • 5. Register for disability support

    USQ is committed to providing an equitable environment for students with disability. You can find out more about what support is available and the benefits of registering for disability support. 
  • 6. Support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students

    If you’re an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student, you can access the dedicated support services at the College for Indigenous Studies, Education and Research (CISER).
